Teen Fatally Shot in St Andrew, Police Investigating Incident

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Law enforcement officials are investigating the tragic death of 17-year-old Sayid Mitchell, also known as “Bredda Bredda,” who was fatally shot on Friday morning at the intersection of Ashley Road and Burke Road in St Andrew.

According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 8:40 a.m. while police officers were conducting routine patrols in the area. Their attention was drawn to the sound of gunfire. Upon investigation, they discovered Mitchell lying on the roadway with apparent gunshot wounds.

Emergency services were immediately summoned, and the teenager was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after.

Mitchell, a resident of Metcalfe Road, was known within his community, and his untimely death has left loved ones and neighbors in shock.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they continue their probe into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

The investigation remains ongoing.
