Motorists across Jamaica can breathe a sigh of relief as fuel prices are set to decrease this week. Effective Thursday, November 21, consumers will enjoy lower costs for gasoline, diesel, and other petroleum products, as announced by Petrojam’s latest ex-refinery pricing updates.
The price of 87-octane gasoline will drop by $3.06, bringing it down to $158.41 per litre, while 90-octane gasoline will see the same reduction, now priced at $167.44 per litre. Automotive diesel fuel will cost $162.46 per litre, reflecting a decrease of $1.98, and ultra-low sulphur diesel will go down by $2.70 to $169.51 per litre.
For households and industries reliant on kerosene and liquid petroleum gas, the news is equally favorable. Kerosene prices will decline by $2.86, settling at $147.11 per litre, while propane liquid petroleum will decrease by $2.31 to $72.91 per litre. Butane liquid petroleum rounds out the reductions with a drop of $3.06, now priced at $82.69 per litre.
As always, retailers and marketing companies will apply their mark-ups to these base prices. This week’s price cuts come as a welcome reprieve for consumers amid fluctuating global energy markets, offering some financial relief at the pump.
