KINGSTON, Jamaica — Business owners have one extra business day to settle several key tax obligations this month. Because the usual filing dates (14 and 15 June) land on a weekend, employers and self-employed professionals now have until Monday, 16 June 2025 to remit:
- Estimated Corporate Income Tax (Q2)
- Self-Employed Statutory Contributions (Q2)
- Monthly Payroll Deductions (SO1) covering PAYE, Education Tax, NHT, NIS and HEART
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) stresses that payments received by the 16th will be treated as on-time—no late-payment penalties or interest will accrue.
Why punctuality matters
Timely submission of the SO1 return not only keeps employers compliant, it also preserves their eligibility for the Employment Tax Credit (ETC), which can be used to offset future income-tax liabilities.
Fast, digital payment channels
Taxpayers can clear their balances quickly through any of the following platforms:
- TAJ e-Services – jamaicatax.gov.jm
- NCB Online Banking
- Scotia Online Banking & Mobile App
- Direct Funds Transfer via participating banks

Bottom line: make the most of this short grace period—pay by 16 June to sidestep penalties and keep your tax standing in the clear.
