The countdown is on for MoBay Night Run 2025, and this year, it’s more than just a race—it’s an all-out spectacle. With a fresh venue, an energized atmosphere, and an exciting new partnership, the event is set to redefine what it means to run under the stars.
For the first time, organizers have joined forces with GenX Carnival, injecting the pulsating energy of soca and the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean into every aspect of the night. Participants won’t just be running; they’ll be moving to the rhythm of an unforgettable experience.
An Electric New Experience
Scheduled for April 5, the annual 5K run/walk is turning up the excitement with immersive entertainment zones, music stages along the course, and a grand post-race celebration at its new home—Harmony Beach Park.
“This isn’t just a run; it’s a movement,” said Suzette Brown, Executive Director of The Howard Ward Benefit Foundation. “We’re creating something dynamic, something that goes beyond fitness and brings people together in a way they’ve never experienced before.”
This year’s route will take runners along Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, transforming the city into a glowing spectacle of lights, music, and energy. With DJs, live performances, and interactive experiences throughout the course, every step will be powered by high-energy entertainment.
Running for a Cause
While the event promises non-stop excitement, its primary mission remains the same: supporting students in need. Last year, the MoBay Night Run raised over $8 million, directly funding bursaries for 36 students. This year, the goal is even higher—with 5,000 participants expected to help raise $15 million for secondary and tertiary education scholarships.
“We’ve seen the impact this event has on students, and that’s what drives us to make it bigger and better every year,” Brown added.
A Grand Celebration Awaits
As the finish line approaches, the night will shift into full celebration mode at Harmony Beach Park, where GenX Carnival will take over with a high-energy after-party featuring live performances, food, drinks, and non-stop soca beats.
Sponsors like Smirnoff, Rum Stripe, KFC, and Fesco have joined the movement, ensuring that every aspect of the event—whether hydration stations or post-race celebrations—is an experience to remember.
MoBay Night Run 2025 isn’t just a race; it’s a celebration of community, culture, and movement. Whether you’re running for the cause, the vibes, or the sheer thrill of the night, one thing is guaranteed—this is an event you won’t want to miss.
