KINGSTON, Jamaica — Authorities have announced an extension of the curfew originally set in the Kingston Western Police Division. The curfew, which began on Monday, September 23, will now last for an additional 48 hours, concluding at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 27.
Residents within the designated curfew area must adhere to the following boundaries:
- North: From the western end of Calvary Cemetery along Greenwich Park Road to Lyndhurst Road, continuing to Studio One Boulevard.
- East: Extending from Studio One Boulevard along Slipe Pen Road to Asquith Street.
- South: From Slipe Pen Road, the boundary runs along Asquith Street to Thompson Street.
- West: The curfew boundary follows Thompson Street from Asquith Street, then along an imaginary line back to Greenwich Park Road, near the western boundary of Calvary Cemetery.
During the curfew period, individuals within these boundaries are required to remain at home, except when given permission by the ground commander to leave their premises. Authorities are enforcing these measures to ensure public safety in the area.
