KINGSTON, Jamaica – Authorities in Manchester made a significant breakthrough on November 29, 2024, after a confession during a police investigation led to the recovery of a firearm and ammunition.

Police reports indicate that Toby Clarke, a 32-year-old resident of Chudleigh district in Christiana, was being questioned regarding a series of crimes in the parish. During the interrogation, Clarke allegedly disclosed information about an illegal firearm he owned and revealed that it was being held by an associate at a separate location.

Acting on this information, officers conducted a search of the specified premises, where they found an Arcus 9mm pistol and a magazine loaded with five rounds of ammunition. A woman who was at the property was taken into custody for further questioning. Her name is being withheld as investigations continue.

Clarke has since been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition. He is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on January 22, 2025.
