TRELPAIN, Jamaica – A heartbreaking accident unfolded on Saturday evening in Trelawny’s Flamingo Beach area, resulting in the death of a female construction professional.
The victim, engaged in a local building project, was fatally injured when she was struck by a motorcycle operated by a Traffic Department official from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). Emergency services responded promptly to the scene around 7:00 PM, but despite swift medical intervention, she was declared deceased upon arrival at Falmouth Public General Hospital.
The JCF officer involved also suffered injuries during the collision and remains hospitalized in critical condition. Preliminary reports suggest that the construction worker was attempting to navigate across the roadway when the unfortunate incident occurred.
