Jamaica’s powerhouse vocalist Tessanne Chin is ushering in the holiday spirit with a soulful new single and a festive showcase designed to spread cheer and inspire audiences.

Released on December 3, Chin’s new single, Christmas Is Better With You, beautifully captures the essence of togetherness. Co-written by Chin, Giomar Mitchell, and Olaf Blackwood, the track celebrates the joy of spending the holidays with loved ones. Reflecting on her inspiration, Chin shared, “The holidays became even more special after becoming a mom. This song is my ode to the people who make the season unforgettable.”
Giomar Mitchell, her step-nephew and a rising talent in his own right, produced the track with a live band, bringing an organic warmth to its sound. Musicians like Paul Kastick on drums and Dean Fraser on saxophone added their magic, making the song a testament to collaboration and artistry.

As the holidays unfold, Chin is also gearing up for Our Christmas Wish, an annual event showcasing the extraordinary talent nurtured by her Voice Box Performing Arts Ensemble. Taking place on December 15 at the Karl Hendrickson Auditorium, this year’s production promises a festive blend of music, drama, and dance.
Special guests Kevin Downswell and Sevana will join Chin and her ensemble, ensuring an unforgettable evening of performances that range from holiday favorites to unique artistic pieces.
