A 54-year-old vendor from Rocky Point, Clarendon, was arrested at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston on Thursday, November 21, after authorities found illegal ammunition in her luggage. Conset Maxine was reportedly undergoing routine security screening when airport staff discovered a 9mm Glock magazine containing nine rounds of ammunition inside her bag.
Maxine was immediately taken into custody by the Elletson Road Police, who later charged her with unauthorized possession of ammunition. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, though a court date has yet to be set. The incident serves as a reminder of the strict security protocols in place at major airports to prevent the transportation of illegal items.
