Former recording artist Deezie, known in real life as Dave Meikle, has embarked on an exciting new venture, leaving behind his musical career to enter the world of manufacturing. Over the past two years, he has developed a line of personal care products under the brand name Farmbwoy, focusing on the natural benefits of castor oil.
With a deep-rooted passion for entrepreneurship, Deezie explains his journey: “I’ve always had a desire to build something of my own. Having access to land motivated me to start with livestock and beekeeping. It felt like a natural progression to explore creating products from these resources.” His small factory is based in Sandy Park, Clarendon, where he works alongside a dedicated team to produce his line of goods.
“Right now, we’re a small but growing team, and our production is based on my farm. The community’s response has been incredibly positive; our bath soap and castor oil have really taken off,” he shares enthusiastically. Deezie’s commitment to quality and sustainability has resonated with local consumers, leading to a steady increase in demand for Farmbwoy products.
Looking ahead, Meikle is ambitious about the future of Farmbwoy. “We’re aiming to expand our product range and set our sights on international markets. I believe there’s a place for our brand on a global scale,” he adds, illustrating his vision to take Farmbwoy beyond local borders. With determination and a clear goal, Deezie is ready to make his mark in the personal care industry.
