CLARENDON, Jamaica – In a heartbreaking incident, an 11-year-old girl lost her life on Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle near her home in Kemps Hill, Clarendon. The young student, identified as Marla Richards, was returning home from school when the tragedy occurred.
According to reports, around 4:00 p.m., Marla was attempting to cross a section of the Kemps Hill main road when she was hit by a blue Toyota Hiace bus traveling southbound. The impact left the young girl with severe injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and Marla was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
