Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned rap mogul and producer, will remain in federal custody after a judge denied his request for bail, citing concerns about his violent past, substance abuse, and the potential risk of witness tampering. Judge Andrew Carter upheld the prior day’s ruling, determining that the proposed US$50 million bond secured by Combs’s Miami property was insufficient to ensure public safety. The defense team, led by attorney Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment with the outcome but vowed to continue fighting for Combs’s release while seeking a swift trial. “Wherever he is, his resolve is the same. He believes he’s innocent,” Agnifilo stated, also noting that Combs’s detention conditions were “inhumane.”
