MANCHESTER, Jamaica — An 18-year-old teenager has been arrested and charged following a stabbing incident that occurred on Green Street in Knockpatrick, Manchester, on Friday, June 28. The accused, Sanjay Williams, a labourer from Hillside Close in the parish, has been charged with wounding with intent.
According to reports, the incident took place around 2:00 am during a party in the community. The victim and a relative were present at the event when Williams allegedly approached the man. After a brief verbal exchange, Williams reportedly used a knife to stab the victim in the side. He fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Following a police operation in the parish, Williams was apprehended on Tuesday, September 10. He was formally charged two days later after an interview conducted in the presence of his attorney.
Williams now faces legal proceedings for the charges brought against him.
