NEGRIL, Jamaica – Following a multi-million-dollar renovation, RIU Negril has reopened its doors, unveiling a modernized luxury experience for guests. The refreshed property, which underwent a four-month transformation, now features upgraded accommodations, expanded dining options, and exclusive new amenities aimed at enhancing the all-inclusive resort experience.
Among the standout additions are 28 new swim-up rooms, giving guests direct pool access from their suites, and a fresh lineup of restaurants, including an “American Country” themed eatery and a dedicated taco station, “Tiki Taco.” The resort now boasts eight restaurants in total, further expanding its international culinary offerings.
The reopening coincides with a noticeable rise in visitors from Latin America, driven by increased air connectivity. With LATAM Airlines resuming direct flights from Lima, Peru to Montego Bay, the influx of travelers from the region has significantly boosted bookings at RIU properties across Jamaica.
“Our Latin American guests have always loved Jamaica, and with more flight options available, we’ve seen a surge in bookings,” said Niurka Garcia Linton, Director of Sales at RIU Resorts Jamaica. She noted that RIU has long catered to Spanish-speaking guests, offering bilingual staff, themed entertainment, and special cultural experiences.
As Jamaica continues to position itself as a preferred destination for international travelers, RIU Negril’s revitalization stands as a testament to the growing demand for high-end, all-inclusive resorts on the island.
