WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – An early morning police sweep in the Lennox community of Darliston led to the arrest of two residents on Sunday, after officers reportedly uncovered a loaded firearm along with several rounds of ammunition.
According to law enforcement officials, 38-year-old Phillip Warren (nicknamed “Max”) and 22-year-old Roshelle Hacker (known locally as “Rush”) were taken into custody when authorities executed a search warrant at their dwelling around 5:20 a.m. During the operation, officers reportedly discovered a Taurus pistol, loaded with a magazine containing twelve 9mm rounds, as well as an extra round of ammunition already in the firearm. A separate pouch beneath a bed allegedly held five more 9mm rounds.
Both suspects have been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition. They remain in custody as the Darliston police finalize arrangements for their appearance in court.
