WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – An early morning police sweep in the Lennox community of Darliston led to the arrest of two residents on Sunday, after officers reportedly uncovered a loaded firearm along with several rounds of ammunition.

According to law enforcement officials, 38-year-old Phillip Warren (nicknamed “Max”) and 22-year-old Roshelle Hacker (known locally as “Rush”) were taken into custody when authorities executed a search warrant at their dwelling around 5:20 a.m. During the operation, officers reportedly discovered a Taurus pistol, loaded with a magazine containing twelve 9mm rounds, as well as an extra round of ammunition already in the firearm. A separate pouch beneath a bed allegedly held five more 9mm rounds.

Both suspects have been charged with illegal possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition. They remain in custody as the Darliston police finalize arrangements for their appearance in court.

Local authorities have emphasized the importance of these ongoing initiatives to identify and seize illegal weapons in the parish, highlighting their commitment to curbing violent crime in the region.
