Cavalier SC kept their unbeaten record intact in the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Vere Phoenix United at Sabina Park on Sunday. The defending champions made a strong start, with Dwayne Atkinson finding the net in the very first minute of play.

Adding to their lead just before halftime, Jalmaro Calvin converted a precise finish to send Cavalier into the break with a comfortable 2-0 advantage. Vere Phoenix fought back in the second half, narrowing the gap in the 67th minute when Matthew Woo Ling scored, injecting tension into the match. However, Cavalier’s defense held firm, preserving their lead and securing the victory.

With this result, Cavalier now sits fourth in the league standings on 15 points, after four wins and three draws, while Vere Phoenix remains in ninth with eight points.
