KINGSTON, Jamaica – Authorities have extended a 48-hour curfew in the Cassava Piece area of St Andrew, which will remain in place until 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 10. The curfew is part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and public order in the community.

Curfew Boundaries:

  • North: Grosvenor Heights to the intersection of Grosvenor Terrace and Constant Spring Road
  • East: Intersection of Grosvenor Terrace and Constant Spring Road, along Constant Spring Road, continuing through Cassava Piece Road to the intersection of Mannings Hill Road and Clifton Boulevard
  • South: Intersection of Clifton Boulevard and Mannings Hill Road to the junction of Mannings Hill Road and Glen Drive
  • West: Junction of Mannings Hill Road and Glen Drive to Grosvenor Heights

Impact on Daily Life: During the curfew, residents within the defined boundaries must remain on their premises unless otherwise authorized by the authorities. The measure aims to address rising concerns about crime and public safety in the area, ensuring that law enforcement can carry out their operations effectively.

Residents are advised to stay informed through official updates and exercise caution during this time.
