Juici Patties is gearing up for a significant expansion in New York, having secured eight franchise agreements to establish its presence in the bustling metropolis. This move follows a successful launch in Florida earlier this year, where the Jamaican fast-food chain broke records by selling nearly 5,000 patties on its opening day.
Daniel Chin, the director and CEO of Juici Patties’ U.S. operations, expressed confidence in replicating this success in New York. He noted the city’s vibrant Jamaican and Caribbean community as a promising foundation for growth. “New York shares many similarities with Florida in terms of its diverse demographics, and we anticipate a warm reception for our brand. We aim to create a memorable launch experience that resonates with the local community,” he stated.
The company’s strategy involves leveraging insights gained from the Florida market while customizing their approach to suit New York’s unique cultural landscape. “By tailoring our offerings to meet the specific needs of New Yorkers, we expect to make a significant impact as we expand our operations,” Chin added.
Among the eight planned locations, Juici Patties will target key boroughs like the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. The first outlet is currently under construction along the popular White Plains Road, an area well-known for its Jamaican community. This franchise agreement was signed with Premier Private Equity, which has invested over $700,000 in the project.
K’sha White, portfolio manager at Premier Private Equity, highlighted the company’s enthusiasm about bringing Juici Patties to New York. “We have always believed in the potential of the Juici brand. While we’re starting with one store, we are eager to explore additional opportunities,” she said. White also emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership, describing it as a pivotal moment in Juici Patties’ expansion into the U.S. market.
Founded by a group of Jamaican entrepreneurs, Premier Private Equity has established itself in the quick-service restaurant sector, having recently collaborated with other investors to acquire multiple KFC and Dairy Queen franchises in Panama. White sees the collaboration with Juici Patties as an opportunity to celebrate Jamaican culture through its authentic cuisine.
“This expansion transcends mere business objectives; it represents an opportunity to share our rich cultural heritage with a broader audience,” White explained. Chin echoed this sentiment, noting, “Our goal is to spread the vibrant flavors of Jamaica across the United States, and the Bronx is an ideal starting point for this exciting journey.”
As Juici Patties embarks on this new chapter, both the company and its partners are optimistic about the potential for growth and community engagement in New York. With plans to eventually expand to Atlanta, Juici Patties is well on its way to achieving its goal of establishing a nationwide presence.
